Job Purpose The Business Partner Consultant is an integral member of the Portfolio Strategy team.
This role will focus on our organization's US portfolio and is responsible for leading investment planning, progress reporting, and partnering with executive level Delivery Center leaders on strategic planning, reporting, and business case development.
The Business Partner Consultant will have a clear understanding of the overall SPISD portfolio scope of work for the US, as well as the portfolio budget for the US, and key performance indices driving the operational reporting of the US annual investment plan.
In addition to partnering with Delivery Center leaders, they will work closely with the US Portfolio Delivery Lead and SPISD Leadership team, as well as external I&O stakeholders including Finance, IT Strategy & Business Office and EPMO.
As part of Portfolio Strategy team, this role will also support reporting to and requests from senior and executive IT leadership (CIO, VP, Director).
There are four main areas this role would lead:
Strategic business planning consultation across the US portfolio delivery centers Annual investment planning and tracking progress with SPISD TrainsOperational metrics and reportingExecutive Reporting Key Accountabilities Develop rate case submissions aligning with strategic business plansResponsible for annual investment planning, business cases, budgeting, and sanctioning in accordance with National Grid policyPartner with US Delivery Centers on Strategic Business PlanWork with Delivery Centers Product Managers, SPISD Agile Product Owners and Trains on Objectives & Key ResultsLead investment plan key performance indices reporting the executives and regulatorySupport the monthly financial process, ensuring that forecasts are accurate and lead analysisReviewing portfolio level program roadmaps with supportive product business casesCreate and present Executive reporting (CIO/VP levels) on operational metrics for key performance indices that enable improvements, including financial reporting and complianceProviding critical thought leadership with solution options and process/operational improvementsSchedule/coordinate/lead project activities to include meetings, teleconferences, videoconferences, etc.
Mentor junior team membersSenior member of the SPISD Portfolio Strategy team able to lead critical activities and act as delegate for SPISD Portfolio Strategy DirectorQualifications Successful candidates will possess:
A passion to drive progress and deliver value, along with an eagerness to collaborate and build strategic plans (schedule and financial)5
years of financial and strategic forecasting/roadmap experience in a role working with cross functional groupsAbility to build and grow relationships within the team and amongst external IT and Business partnersAttention to detailAbility to apply critical thinking to develop strategic planning and improve processesFinancial forecasting, analysis, and reporting skillsFamiliarity with key performance indices enabling operational metric analysis and actionExperience working with senior leadershipStrong communication and presentation skills in clear, concise and direct manner.
This includes the ability to assess the situation, develop and review options, influence stakeholders, and come to a decisionProficient in MS Excel, experience in Tableau and Power BIManagement & Reporting Structure The Business Partner Consultant is on the Portfolio Strategy team, led by the SPISD Portfolio Strategy DirectorThe SPISD Portfolio Strategy Director is accountable for the team's overall roles & responsibilities and the execution of the teamStrategy, Performance, and Infrastructure Solutions Delivery is led by the Head of SPISD and is within the IT Infrastructure & Operations organization led by the I&O Global Vice President, reporting directly to the National Grid Global Chief Information & Digital Officer (CIDO)More Information This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
